UScampus is a division of American International Education Foundation, a non-profit organization based in California. UScampus is an organization dedicated to helping international students better understand the US educational system. We counsel students on topics such as selecting a college, strengthening English skills, preparing applications, applying for visas and adjusting to the United States culture. For US students, we host educational exchange programs that allow them to experience the histories, political systems and people of other nations. At the same time, we help US educational institutions reach Asian students.
UScampus is based in Los Angeles and has offices in Washington, D.C., Shanghai and Taipei. UScampus is closely associated with the EducationUSA network globally. Supported by the American International Education Foundation (AIEF), our programs have been recognized by government officials, educators, business leaders and school representatives in the United States and abroad.
One Stop Resource
Staffed and managed by former international students, UScampus intimately understands the questions and concerns that non-US citizens have when applying to an US school - and after arriving in this country.
UScampus makes US education more accessible to citizens worldwide, and makes it easier for international students to get information tailored to their needs. Our services include student counseling, education fairs, orientation seminars, recruitment services, language classes and short-term training programs. These efforts have helped students in more than 60 nations, and have been especially effective in Asia.
American College Information Centers
UScampus operates professionally staffed American College Information Centers, which provide comprehensive resources about studying and living in the United States. Students and businesspersons can participate in individualized counseling sessions, orientation programs and English language classes. A comprehensive reference library is available with school catalogs, books, application materials and videotapes about US boarding schools, colleges, universities and executive programs.
These well-equipped facilities attract visiting US school representatives, who use the centers as "offices away from home" for student interviews and college presentations. Additionally, academic institutions may hire our centers to provide market-specific student recruitment programs. American College Information Centers are located in Shanghai and Taipei.
American Education Fairs
To bring potential students together with US school representatives, UScampus hosts American Education Fairs in China, Taiwan and Korea. These popular events, held in fall and spring, are considered among Asia's largest and most respected US recruitment fairs. Attracting tens of thousands of attendees, the events have been supported by organizations including the US Department of Commerce, China's Ministry of Education, American Embassy in Beijing, American Institute in Taiwan and
AIEF.
Global Internet Resource
Students in more than sixty nations have visited www.UScampus.com for news and advice about US education and culture. The online resource is available in simplified and traditional Chinese, English and Korean. Highlights include a comprehensive search engine of more than 4,000 US colleges, universities, language schools, boarding schools and executive training programs and the American College Directory.
In addition to finding a school, students can access information about the 50 states, US grading system, visa applications, practice tests, college essays, financial aid, and more. The
web site also addresses the best way to succeed in this country, academically and socially, and includes tips such as buying health insurance, opening a bank account, getting a driver's license and ordering telephone service. Students arriving in the United States for the first time may register online for an airport welcome service that escorts them safely to their school destination.
