Program Introduction

The IEF Education Foundation, a non-profit international education organization, is pleased to sponsor a three-week leadership and educational exchange program, designed to give a select group of U.S. students an introduction to China's history, culture and people.
In additional to gaining an in-depth insight into China, participants will represent their college or university at several special events schedule with Chinese students and professors. These events will provide opportunities for students to talk about their schools, share personal experiences and answer questions. In essence, participants are expected to become ambassadors for their college and the American educational system. At the same time they will learn a great deal about this fascinating culture.
Program Description
The American Student Ambassador Program gives students an educational experience they'll never forget. The action-packed itinerary features an array of cultural and academic experiences to help students understand the complex reality that is in China today. The program
features:
- An introduction to written and spoken Chinese
- An overview of China's art, music, drama and cuisine
- A thoughtful review of China's history
- Seminars and social events with local students and professors
- Tours of China's cultural and historic sites
American Student Ambassadors will have the choice of two programs:
- Program A: Study in South Ocean International School in Qingdao with visit to Beijing
- Program B: Study in Shao Lin Temple with visit to
Beijing
American Student Ambassadors will meet at Los Angeles with IEF staff and leave for China together.
